Have you ever been in a really hard situation that would normally break you and disorient your whole life pattern but then you are happy? You still give thanks, You still acknowledge the love and presence of God in your life and are thankful through it all? That’s when you know you are not a slave to your circumstances. When you fully trust God’s will and plan over your life.

The book of Romans 8:18 says,

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

    Romans 8:18

I love this verse as it speaks life to me, that, even in my suffering, what is yet to come is gonna be bigger than whatever it is I am going through and it declares it as GLORY.  I know for sure that only good things are glorified and so I’m certain it’s going to be good.

Personally, I believe that for you to No longer be a Slave to your situation, there are a couple things that you need to have on deck. It doesn’t just happen. It’s taking the high road and not focussing on what you are currently facing, and instead focussing on God. Do you know how easy it is to be comfortable in your problem? especially with no solution in the horizon. It is so easy to stay in bed all day and stay depressed thinking of why it’s happening to you but instead God wants us to praise him even when things are not working out.

You are no longer a Slave because by Faith, we live through the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 11:1 “Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Choosing to No longer be a slave is setting yourself free and leaving it ALL to Him who is our Father knowing and trusting that God is in control.

“For in this hope we are saved. But Hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

    Romans 8:24-25

Finally my encouragement to you today is to surrender it all to God and yourself free! Believe that no matter what, your life is in His hands.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

    Jeremiah 29:11

I may not know what your situation is. All God wants us to do it to leave it to him and patiently wait on him, trusting and praising his name as we wait for him. God’s Plans still require prayer on our part.

It may not happen as quickly as we desire but God has given us his word, his love, his promises and he will surely deliver.
