*Can I have all my sisters trusting God for a baby gather here. *
I was just chatting with a friend and I was encouraging her to build her faith in God as she waits on God for her baby. I googled, the story of Hannah, because I was telling her to build her faith through reading God’s word.
Now see this word that God has opened my eyes to see.
1 Samuel 1:7
Hannah was the first wife and had no kids. Every time she went to the sanctuary she could expect to be taunted. She was reduced to tears and she never ate.
Vs 8-11
Her husband sees her crying and tries to console her.
Then Hannah ate. Pulled herself together, slipped away quietly and entered the sanctuary. She cried out to God and made a vow to God.
“And she made a vow, saying, “ Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.””
1 Samuel 1:11 NIV
In another version it says
Then she made a vow: Oh, GOD -of-the-Angel-Armies, If you’ll take a good, hard look at my pain, If you’ll quit neglecting me and go into action for me By giving me a son, I’ll give him completely, unreservedly to you. I’ll set him apart for a life of holy discipline.”
1 Samuel 1:9-11 MSG
Eli who was watching her thought she was drunk but after she explained to him her plight he said.
“Eli answered her, “Go in peace. And may the God of Israel give you what you have asked of him.””
1 Samuel 1:17 MSG
When Hannah returned home, the Bible says, God began making necessary arrangements in response to what she had asked
NIV version said * The Lord remembered her*
I want to encourage you who is waiting, that God is making arrangements for you. He is not late. He is the beginning and the end. He is the author of time. He is the giver of all things good.
Please eat (delight yourself in the Lord) slip quietly into the sanctuary ( keep going to your prayer closet and meet with God)
The Lord has not forgotten you. So do not be downcast. Do not be weary. Do not give up.
THE LORD HAS REMEMBERED YOU.
Be blessed.
Esther
